Distribution Maintenance was established in 1982 and is a family run business. Over the years we have grown to become one of the largest leading UK service suppliers within the warehouse and distribution industry. Between the 4 Directors, we have over 70 years combined experience within the roll cage sector including servicing of thermotainers, stillages & warehouse racking. Our success has been built on reputation and good working relationships with our current clients ranging from small companies to large national high street names and multi-national corporations.

Our history

Our company story began more than 30 years ago when Michael Howell, our Chairman and Founder, set up the company in 1982. The company started to respond to the increasing demand from small food retailers, wholesalers and the banking sector, looking for a dedicated repair facility.  

We then grew our high quality repair services and supply of reliable, refurbished transit equipment to become one of the most respected and experienced companies in this field, supplying a broad range of industry sectors. 

A shortage of transit equipment can damage your business and reputation overnight so we understand the importance of speed of service to keep the wheels of your transit equipment turning.

Justin Howell

Director

Justin joined the family business back in 1992, when the company consisted of two site vans and a small team, carrying out various roll cage repairs on site.

Justin spotted opportunities within the industry, to buy and sell reconditioned roll cages and other associated equipment.

His good business relationships then led on to repair and supply contracts for large retail companies and the banking sector. Justin has been a major driving force to shape Distribution Maintenance to the growth business it is today.

Justin became a leading Director 10 years ago and now oversees the full daily running of the business.

Clinton Howell

Director

Clinton started with Distribution Maintenance in 1990, working on the site vans.

As the business started to grow he took over management of the shop floor within our Repair Centre.

He now manages a team of engineers, whilst overseeing quality control and ensuring all orders of reconditioned roll cages are sent out to the standards set and deadlines agreed.

Clinton also became a Director of Distribution Maintenance 10 years ago.

Danielle McAteer

Sales and Marketing Manager

Danielle has been involved in the distribution industry for over 10 years. She started her career with a packaging company as a Sales Representative. She then went on to become an Account Manager for a large greeting card manufacturer.

Danielle joined the business two years ago and is the Sales & Marketing Manager at Distribution Maintenance, dealing with all sales enquiries, as well as any accounts queries.

Danielle has built a large successful client base and formed very close relationships with our customers.
