Distribution Maintenance was established in 1982 and is a family-run business. Over the last 40-plus years we have grown to become the largest leading UK service provider within the warehouse and distribution industry. The management team has a combined 70 years plus experience and expertise within the roll cage sector, including servicing of thermotainers, stillages & warehouse racking.

Our success has been built on the reputation and excellent working relationships we have developed with our current clients, ranging from small independents to large national high street names and multi-national corporations.

Our company story began more than 40 years ago when Michael Howell, our Chairman, and Founder, set up the company in 1982. The company started to respond to the increasing demand from small food retailers, wholesalers, and the banking sector, looking for a dedicated repair facility.

Justin joined the family business in 1992, when the company consisted of just two site vans and a small team, carrying out various roll cage repairs on site. Justin spotted opportunities within the industry to buy and sell reconditioned roll cages and other associated equipment in addition to continuing to provide a repair service.

Justin became a leading director in 2012 and now oversees the full daily running of the business, whilst his brother Clinton oversees the management of the repair centre.

Distribution Maintenance continued to develop its high-quality repair services and supply of reliable and fully refurbished transit equipment to become the most respected and experienced company in this field, supplying a broad range of industry sectors. Distribution Maintenance now runs a large dedicated fleet of mobile service vans and company vehicles, along with a large team of highly trained engineers, capable of offering a nationwide repair service to fulfil customer repairs on site. Our client base continues to expand and our portfolio now includes many of the UK’s leading companies.

Given the continued success of the business, Distribution Maintenance has taken the exciting decision to diversify and add to our already wide range of products and services to now offer brand-new distribution equipment for sale, including A-frame cages, stillages, and magnums. With manufacturing facilities in both the UK and the Far East, we are now well-placed to service the requirements of our customers, both nationally and globally for both bespoke and standard product lines.
